Understanding the Prophet's life ﷺ

Transformation

The hearts of all humans are between the fingers of Allah, and He turns them in any way that He desires. The Arabic word for heart, qalb, comes from the root qalaba, which means to change, alter, transform, or convert. The heart is constantly changing, and the greatest fear is that it would change from belief to disbelief. Even the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to supplicate for an obedient heart, saying: "Verily, the hearts of all the sons of Adam are between two fingers of the Compassionate, like one heart. He turns that to any direction He likes." Then the Messenger of Allah said: "O Allah, the Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience." [Muslim]

Guidance from Allah helps people to be sincere to Allah, both in their hearts and in their actions. It helps them to be steadfast and patient in times of adversity, and grateful in times of abundance and blessings.

The guidance that Allah provides come in many forms, but it is primarily through influencing the heart and soul of the individual.

So the man followed the water (in its course), and he found a man standing in his garden, using an instrument to direct this water in different directions *(to irrigate his garden). He said to him, 'O servant of Allah! What is your name?' The man said 'So-an-so,' the same name that he had heard in the clouds! Then the man asked him, 'O servant of Allah! Why are you asking me my name?' So he responded. 'I heard a voice in the clouds- the same clouds that this water came from o- saying, "water the garden of so-and-so" with your name. What do you interpret this as (i.e. why do you think this happened )?' So he said, 'If you say this (i.e. if what you say occurred), then (the reason for this is that) I see what (crops) come out of it (this graden), and I give one third in charity, and I eat wth my family one third of it, and I return one third of it (to cultivate more crops)"" and in another narration, it is reported that he said, and I give one third of it to the poor, and the beggars, and the wayfarers.'

How to prevent trials, and general advice from the Prophet S.a.w. to the Muslims

Hurry to perform the good deeds before the trials overtake you

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

"Hasten to perform good deeds before seven things: are you waiting for poverty which makes you forget? Or wealth which burdens you? Or a debilitating disease or senility? Or an unexpected death or the False Messiah? Or is it evil in the unseen you are waiting for, or the Hour? The Hour will be bitter and terrible."

[Sunan At-Tirmidhi, Book of Asceticism, Number 2306, Hasan]

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:

"Hasten to perform good deeds before a tribulation which will be like the dark part of the night, in which a man will be a believer in the morning and an unbeliever in the evening, or he will be a believer in the evening and an unbeliever in the morning; and he would sell his faith for some goods in the world."

[Sahih Muslim, Book 1, Number 213]

Supplicate to Allah with abundant dua'a, adhkar, in our everyday life to be away from trials.

As mentioned above, the prophet (s.a.w) said "Dua'a is worship", so one must use this super-weapon to the best of his abilities. Along with this the prophet (s.a.w) also said:

Allah's Messenger (s.a.w) said: "Only supplication (Dua'a) averts (prevents) the decree , only kindness prolongs life, and a man is deprived of provision for a fault he commits."

[Tirmidhi and others]

Thus now that we know , dua'a can also help avert trials from us, why not start practicing it?  See Dua'as to prevent and cure evil eye, Jinn Attacks and Harm

May Allah Azawajal Save Us From His Dreadful Trial and Purnishment.  Ameen

HOW GHUSL (ISLAMIC PURIFICATION) IS PERFORMED

It is highly recommended to perform this ghusul before going for the weekly jumuat.Women perform the same after their monthly cycle, after child birth etc.

First,  Intend by heart to perform ghusl - and say Bismillah.
Wash both hands up to the wrists making sure they are clean from any food substances like pepper else you may end up hurting yourself. Wash your private parts properly so that you don't touch them again when you start the ghusul(Istinja). Perform wudhu as usual, except that the washing of feet can be delayed until later when the rest of the body is washed. Pour water over the head three times if using hands or cup just to make sure your hair is much wet to the skull, massaging the hair to allow the water to reach its roots. Pour water liberally over the entire body, starting with the right side and then the left, ensuring that no part of the body is left untouched by water, including armpits, inside the earlobes, inside the navel, between fingers and toes etc. making sure they are properly washed by rubbing with your hands not just pouring.
NOTE:
A woman performs ghusl just as the man does, except that if she has plaited hair, she need not undo it. She only needs to throw three handfuls of water over her head or more to wet their plaited her to the skull.

After completing the ghusl a person should recite this supplication which is same to the supplication after wudoo, Ablution.  "Ash-hadu an laa ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu, laa shareeka lah, wa ash-hadu anna muhammadan a’abduhu warasooluhu. Allahummaj ‘alni, minuthawaabeena waj’alnee, minal mutathahireen". Meaning
O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure" This should be recited outside the bathroom if the bathroom is combined with toilet and shouldn't be loud. Remember to recite Surah Al-Kahf, Quran chapter 18 as recommended by the Prophet and also send more supplications upon our Nabi. May Allah answer our dua as we ask Allah to have mercy on all Muslims under any oppression and in any difficulties. May Allah grant us success over our evil deeds and aid us to overcome our disobedience to Allah. Aameen.

Suicide - A Major Sin

Suicide is a major sin, and the one who does that is faced with a warning of eternity of Fire of Hell, where Allah will punish him by the means that he used to commit suicide.
It was narrated by Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallahu 'anhu) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be throwing himself in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever kills himself by a piece of iron will have that iron in his hand, thrusting it into his belly in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever.
Narrated by al-Bukhari (5442) and Muslim (109)
It was narrated from Thabit ibn Dahhak (Radiyallahu 'anhu) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever kills himself with something will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection."
Narrated by al-Bukhari (5700) and Muslim (110)
It was narrated that Jundub ibn 'Abdullah (Radiyallahu 'anhu) said that the Prophet ﷺ said: "A Man among those who came before you was wounded. He panicked and took a knife and cut his hand, and his bleeding did not stopped until he died. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted said: "My slave hastened his death; I have forbidden Paradise to him.
Narrated by al-Bukhari (3276) and Muslim (113). The believer has to be patient and to seek the help of Allah, may He be exalted, and understand that no matter what hardship befalls him in this world -- no matter how severe it is -- the Punishment of the Hereafter is worse than it. It is not acceptable according to anyone who is of right mind to run away from the heat of the desert and throw himself into the Fire. How can he flee from temporary hardship and difficulty -- which inevitably will come to an end -- to an eternal punishment which has no end?
The Muslim should ponder and realise that he is not the only one in this world who is affected by calamity and hardship. Calamities befell the greatest of mankinds, namely the Prophets, Messengers, and the Righteous. They also befell over the worst of mankind, namely the disbelievers and atheists.
Calamity is part of the natural order of things and hardly anyone is safe from it. If the believer handles it well and is patient, and it becomes a means that make him turn back to Allah and strive hard in worship and righteous deeds, then the calamity will have been good for him and will be expiation for his sins, and perhaps he will meet Allah with no burden of sin. The Prophet ﷺ said: "No pain, hardship, sickness or grief befalls a believer, not even worry befalls him, but some of his bad deeds will be expiated."
Narrated by al-Bukhari (5642) and Muslim (2573).
At-Tirmidhi (2399) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallahu 'anhu) said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Calamities will continue to befall believing men and women in themselves, their children and their wealth, until they meet Allah with no burden of sin."
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth al-Saheehah (2280).
And Allah knows best.

How to repent from backbiting ?

The majority of scholars have stated that repentance for committing the sin of backbiting is that one refrains from backbiting intending not to repeat it again.

There is a difference of opinion if whether feeling remorse is required in this case, and also if one should apologize to those who he has backbitten.

Some scholars stated that it is not necessary for one to ask those whom he has backbitten to forgive him, because if they knew what was said about them, they could be hurt more than if they were not told about it.

It is better, they said, that one should praise those whom he has backbitten in audiences in which he has committed the act.

It is also better if one defends the injured party against any further backbiting, as much as one can, as recompense for his earlier backbiting.

Ya Rabb...

My Rabb,
You are the merciful master and I am an ungrateful slave.
You are the king who provides, who nourishes me cherishes me every single moment and yet I deny, I neglect, I reject. You are the most beneficent all you ordained me is to prostrate to you,  to obey you, to love and be kind, to be patient at times of hardship and to give thanks at all time.
You never asked me much yet you keep providing me with so much I can never count.
Ya Rabb,
Forgive me and my brothers and sisters in Islam for our mistakes, faults, negligences, ingratitude,  errors, shortcomings and sin committed secretly or openly, knowingly or unknowingly and the ones which you are better aware than us.
Ameen Ya Rabb

For indeed,
You are the loving master and I am an unjust and ungrateful slave.

A WOMAN WEARING PERFUME WHEN GOING OUT OR PASSING BY NON-MAHRAM MEN.

💠🔱💠🔱💠🔱💠🔱💠🔱

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

💠Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, has laid down obligations which we are not permitted to ignore, and has set limits which we are not permitted to transgress, and has set out prohibitions which we are not allowed to violate.💠

🔰Woman wearing perfume when going out is one of the  that are taken too lightly!

🔰This practice is widespread nowadays, despite the stern warning of the Prophet (ﷺ), who said:

🌻“Any woman who applies perfume and then goes out among the people so that they could smell her fragrance is a zaaniyah(adulteress).” [Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 4/418; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 105].

🔰From the above hadiths, describing such a woman as an 'zaaniyah' means that she is like an adulteress.

🔰Some women are very careless and take the matter too lightly, especially in front of drivers, shopkeepers, school porters, etc., even though the Sharee’ah states very strictly that the woman who wears perfume must wash herself like a person must wash when in a state of janaabah (i.e., perform Bath), if she wants to go out.

🌻The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Any woman who wears perfume then goes out to the Masjid, so that the fragrance can be discerned, her prayers will not be accepted until she performs ghusl to be performed when in a state of janaabah.” [Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 2/444; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2703].

🔰Some people may misunderstand the above hadeeth to be specific to women who go the masjid for prayer, however this is clearly not the case. The mention of the masjid is not restrictive in this hadeeth, and the ruling applies to women going out anywhere.

🔰With regard to men, they are not forbidden to do that; rather it is mustahabb for men to use perfume on all occasions, and it is particularly mustahabb on Fridays and Eid, when people gather in mosques and prayer-places and so on.

🔰If the perfume is light, so its smell does not spread beyond its place except for a limited range, and if it is not used with the intention of seduction but rather for removing the smell of sweat, for example, the woman in such case is not like an adulteress because she is not intending seduction.

🌻Abu Hurayrah (ra) reported, The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Perfume for men is that which has a strong fragrance and Little colour, and perfume for women is that which has a strong colour and little fragrance.” [Abu Dawood (2174), and by al-Tirmidhi (2787)]

🔰Sa’eed ibn Abi ‘Uroobah, the narrator of the hadeeth, said: I think that with regard to the words “perfume for women” this refers to when she wants to go out, but if she is with her husband, she may apply whatever perfume she wants. [Sunan Abi Dawood (4/84); Sharh al-Sunnah by al-Baghawi, 12/81.]

🔰To sum up:

✅If a woman wants to go out of her house, she must avoid wearing perfume. It is disliked at least, for even if the smell of the perfume is light, there is still a risk that men will smell it due to the congestion in streets, markets, and means of transport. Thus, it is more appropriate for the righteous woman to avoid anything that might trigger temptation.

✅Furthermore, the smell of sweat can be removed by bathing or washing the places in which sweat is usually found [and by wearing light deodorant]. It does not need wearing any perfume, because wearing light perfumes might lead to wearing strong ones.

✅Such prohibition is applicable only in the presence of non-mahram, whether inside or outside a woman’s house. However, in the presence of mahram men, her husband, or other women, there is no restriction on wearing perfume, due to the absence of temptation in the presence of mahram, or to please the husband or to avoid being criticized by other women.

✅Whatever comes under the same heading as using fragrance, such as using soap/shampoo/deodarants etc that has a strong and lasting smell that remains after using it, comes under the same ruling.✔ It is not permissible for her to use any of those things if she is going out of her house or mixing with men. Allah Almighty knows best.

🔱Dear Sisters, Fear Allaah and be among those who are truthful in their worship to Allaah. Abide by the commands of Allaah in order to attain nearness to Him and obtain His good rewards; shun His prohibitions in order to avoid being far from His mercy and being liable to His punishment.🔱

Count Allah Ta'ala's Blessings

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep … you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace … you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you awoke this morning with more health than illness … you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation … you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.
If your parents are still alive and still married … you are very rare.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful … you are blessed because the majority can, but most don’t.
If you can read this message … you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings to thank Allah Ta’ala, and pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.

Bitteekh (Water-Melon)

Abu Dawood & Tirmidhi narrated that Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam used to eat watermelon with ripe dates, saying “The hotness of this substance (dates) neutralizes the coldness of that (watermelon)”.

There are several Ahadith regarding watermelon, none of them are authentic except the Hadith that we mentioned above.
Green watermelon is cold, wet & is sweet. It works as a cleanser (for stomach & the intestines). Watermelon departs the stomach more quickly than cucumber & quickly blends with whatever substances are present in the stomach. It is beneficial to eat watermelon when warm, but when it is cold, it is better to have it with some ginger to offset its harm.
Watermelon should be eaten before the meals, otherwise it will cause nausea. Some doctors said that when watermelon is eaten before meals, it cleanses the stomach & removes ailments.

Importance of Home Taleem

A Muslim home is really one in which 5 times salaat takes place (by the females), Nafl namaazes take place, tilawat (recitation) of the Qur’an Sharif, Zikrullah, duas, muraqabah (meditation) and very importantly Taleem takes place.
It is narrated in a Hadith that Allah’s azab (punishment) does not descend in a place where the hadith of Rasulullah(sallallaahu alaiyhi wassallam) is read. Subhanallah!
By making Taleem in our homes, we will be saved from the azab of Allah. A vacuum does not exist anywhere. If there is no Taleem (rahmat) of Allah in the house, then there will be all types of ghaflat (unmindfiilness) like television, videos, newspapers, magazines, radios, games, idle talk of dunya, etc. which all draw the azab of Allah.
This azaab then manifests itself in the form of the disobedience of the children to their parents, of them choosing alien, hated and horrible ways of the west, etc. in their attitudes, dressing, speaking, etc, Also the azab is seen in the form of no communication, etc. between husband and wife.
Many a person complains that Alhamdulillah we have got every thing of dunya but there is no muhabbat (love) in our house or we are earning so much but there is no barakah. Before the end of the month, all the money is finished and so many bills still have to be paid.
This is yet another form of Allah’s azab. By having taleem, barakah, rahmat will descend in the form of love and respect between all the family members. Money will not only be sufficient, but there will always be extra as well. We will be saved from terrible diseases, accidents, problems, etc. Aafiyat (a smooth life) will be granted…
Of what, when, and for how long, etc. should taleem be made ?
A few humble suggestions follow:-
Taleem should be made of :
1. Fazaail Amal
2. Bahishti Zewar
3. A kitaab on Sunnats
4. Seerat (Life of Rasulullah(sallallaahu alaiyhi wassallam)
5. Aadabul Mu’asharat (Right social conduct)
6. Remembrance of Death and
7. A miscellaneous kitaab. When one is finished, start another one.
This taleem should be collective – the family members should preferably all sit together and let as many participants read a kitaab as is possible. Each kitaab should only be read for about 2 minutes.
Beheshti Zewer and a Sunnat kitab should be read in this way that the first day 1 mas’alah/sunnat be read, which will take about 15 seconds each, the next day repeat yesterday’s lesson and read another mas’alah/sunnat, which should take about 30 seconds, the third day repeat the previous 2 day’slessons and read a third mas’alah/sunnat. This should take about 1 minute each, at the maximum 2 minutes each….
May Allah Ta’ala make Taleem in the home easy and a reality for us, Ameen.
We will never be able to be grateful and thankful to Allah Ta’ala and ourselves for the great goodness that will abound to us through this.

Turn your focus towards the creator

Often what makes us fall into despair is focusing on the wrong things. For example, if we’ve sinned, we focus on the sin, rather than the Most Merciful.
If we’re broken, we focus on the break instead of Al Jabbar, the One who mends. If we are in pain, we focus on the pain itself, instead of on the One who removes all pain. If we are wounded, we focus on the wound instead of on the One who heals all wounds.
If we’re scared, we focus on the fear, instead of the Protector. And if we’re facing a problem, we see the problem, but not the One who can solve it. We see the lion, but not the lion tamer. We see the imperfections of dunya, but not the perfection of Allah.
We see the immediate, but not the Tomorrow, the tree, but not the fruit, the thorn, but not the rose.
All our pain, all our despair, all our hopelessness, stems from looking at the creation, instead of the Creator.

I Only Need Allah !

This ocean is so vast,
My hearts overwhelmed.
Sometimes I want off the ship,
But seems I'm stuck at the helm.
And the wind keeps on blowing,
But which way am I going?
There's no break, as I sail,
And it all feels like Slow motion.
Perhaps I need to rest,
But Prayers are better than sleep.
So only Allah knows my heart,
And the secret it speaks.
When I can't find my way,
I trust that Allah can.
He's the Only One whom I speak to,
The Only One who understands.
So onward I sail,
Through this storm and its wind.
Praying that all of its rains,
Will be a cleanse for my sins.
And patience is a must,
In this journey, so I trust,
As I sail through rough waters,
That I'll find my dawn,
In its dusk...

I only need Allah !!
